VANILLA CUPCAKES

Vanilla Cupcakes




These easy vanilla cupcakes are so simple to make. Decorate with a swirl of delicious buttercream frosting.
A cupcake is a small cake designed to serve one person, which may be baked in a small thin paper or aluminium cup. As with larger cakes, icing and other cake decorations, such as candy, may be applied.

Ingredients

  • Granulated Sugar-1 Cup
  • Un-Salted Butter, softened-1 Stick
  • Eggs-2
  • Vanilla Extract-2 tsp
  • Baking Powder-2 tsp
  • Salt-1/8 tsp
  • All Purpose Flour-1 1/3 Cups
  • Whole Milk-1/3 Cup

For the Frosting

  • Unsalted Butter, softened-1 Stick 
  • Vanilla Extract-½ tsp
  • Powdered Sugar
  • food color –pink and green

Method
STEP-1
Preheat your oven to 180. Line your cupcake tin with liners and set aside.

STEP-2
 In a mixing bowl fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together the sugar and butter.

STEP-3
Add the eggs and vanilla and cream together until you get a smooth mixture.

STEP-4
Add the dry ingredients and with the speed on low mix together and slowly add the milk and just mix everything to combine. DO NOT OVER-MIX! Make sure you give everything a good stir with a spatula from the bottom to incorporate any bit that wasn’t mixed.

STEP-5
Scoop the batter into your lined cupcake tin, make sure it’s only filled ¾ of the way up because they will rise. Bake for 20 minutes and let cool for about 45 minutes before frosting.

For the frosting

STEP-6
To make the frosting combine together all the frosting ingredients except the food colors and mix together to combine.

Step -7
Divide the frosting into two bowls and add food colors (pink and green) into each bowl.
Fill the frosting in a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes.
