CHICKEN SOUP

 Chicken soup


Chicken soup is a soup made from chicken, simmered in water, usually with various other ingredients. The classic chicken soup consists of a clear broth, often with pieces of chicken or vegetables; common additions are pasta, dumplings, or grains such as rice and barley. Chicken soup has acquired the reputation of a folk remedy for colds and flues, and in many countries is considered a comfort food.

Ingredients
  • Water -4 cup
  • Chicken with bone-5-6 pieces of 1 inch cut chicken
  • Garlic pealed-4(Don’t chop)
  • Onion -1/2(cut into 4)
  • Oats-4tbsp
  • Carrot -1(chopped)
  • Chicken stock-1/2 of one cube
  • Pepper powder-as required
  • Salt-as required
  • Butter-1tsp

Method

STEP-1
Combine chicken, onion, carrot, garlic, oats and chicken cube in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, for 40 minutes or until vegetables are very tender.

STEP-2

Taste and season with salt, pepper and butter.
