Brinjal Upperi
I already posted one
brinjal upperi. But this is entirely different from that because tamarind water is used in this recipe. This is my favorite
dish and the recipe got from my mom. This side dish is a great combination with
rice.

Ingredients
- .Brinjal-1/2k
- .Green chilly-4(slit)
- .Tamarind water-5-6 tbsp(up to your sour level)
- .Turmeric powder-a pinch
- .Salt-as required
For seasoning
- .Coconut oil-1tbsp
- .Mustard seeds-1/4tsp
- .Curry leaves-1 string
Method
STEP-1
.Cut brinjal into lengthwise.
STEP-2
.Cook brinjal along with salt ,turmeric powder, green chilly and
tamarind water. Add enough water to it.
.Close the lid and cook in medium flame.
STEP-3
.For seasoning,pour oil into a pan .Splutter mustard seeds.Add curry leaves and sauté it
.Pour the seasoning on the top of the brinjal.
