CHICKEN CUTLET

Chicken Cutlet
Cutlets are a popular snack item and can be served as a side dish along with the main course. Cutlet recipes are easy to make and is loved by all. Cutlet is a cooked meat stuffing of chicken, mutton, fish or beef fried with a batter covering. It can also be made with vegetables.

Ingredients
To cook the chicken
  • .Chicken-1/2 k
  • .Pepper powder-1/2tsp
  • .Red chilly powder-1/2tsp
  • .Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  • .salt-as required
To make the masala
  • .Onions, finely chopped-3 medium
  • .Potatoes-2 medium(boiled and smashed)
  • .Green chillies, crushed-2
  • .Ginger, crushed-1bsp
  • .Garlic ,crushed-1bsp
  • .Chicken masala powder-1/2tsp
  • .Red chilly powder-1/2tsp(up to your spice level)
  • .Garam masala-1tsp
  • .Coriander leaves, chopped -3-4tbsp
  • .Curry leaves chopped-1string
  • .Salt-as required

For frying the Cutlets

  • .egg white -2
  • .Bread crumbs-1 cup
  • Oil-for frying

Method

STEP-1
.Cook chicken with, 1/2tsp pepper powder, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and salt in a pressure cooker. Mince the cooked chicken and keep it aside.

STEP-2
.Peel and boil potatoes along with salt mash it well and keep it aside.

STEP-3
.Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions and saute till transparent.

STEP-4
.Add ginger, garlic and green chillies and stir well.

STEP-5
.Add chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves, 1/s tsp red chilly powder,chicken masala powder,garam masala and salt.Saute it about 2 minutes.

STEP-6
.Then add minced chicken and mashed potatoes and mix well. Check salt and stir well for few minutes.

STEP-7
.Make small balls out of it and flatten into desired shapes.

STEP-8
.Beat the egg white and dip each cutlet in this and roll in the bread crumbs.

STEP-9

.Heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlets .Serve hot with tomato sauce/mint chutney.
