VANILLA CAKE

Vanilla cake
Ingredients
  • All Purpose Flour-2 ½ Cup
  • Sugar-1 ½ Cups
  • Egg-5, Separated (Room Temperature)
  • Unsalted Butter- 200 G
  • Salt-1/2 Teaspoon
  • Baking Powder-1 ½ Tablespoon
  • Vanilla Essence-1 Tablespoon
  • Milk-2 Tablespoon (If Needed)

Method

STEP-1
Preheat oven into 180 degrees.

STEP-2
Grease the baking tray with butter and dust with flour, tapping out the excess.

STEP-3
Whisk flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl until well combined.

STEP-4
Beat butter and the sugar in a large bowl on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

STEP-5
Reduce the beater speed to medium; beat in the egg yolks, one at a time.

STEP-6
In a separate mixing bowl, fitted with the whisk attachment (or with a hand mixer), beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Set aside.

STEP-7
Beat the flour mixture into the butter mixture in 3 batches, alternating with the egg whites, until just smooth.

STEP-8
Beat in the vanilla essence. Add 2 tablespoon of milk if the batter is too thick and milk.

STEP-9
Pour the batter into prepared baking pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

STEP-10
Cool on a wire rack for about 15 minutes. To remove the cake from the pan, run a spatula around the inside of the pan to loosen the cake. Invert onto a wire rack/plate.
Decorate with your choice.
