TUTU SKIRT FOR KIDS

                                  Tutu skirt for kids

Materials needed
.White elastic
.Ribbon(color upon your choice)
.Net cloth
.Scissor
.Measuring tap
.Cardboard(optional)
.Rubber band(optional)
.Stitching machine(optional)

Instructions
STEP-1
.Measure your child's waist and cut the elastic(mine is 20"+1")
.You can sew the elastic by hand or machine.Use a zigzag stitch to secure the elastic.

STEP-2
.Measure the length-measure from your child's waist to the desired finished length to the skirt.
.And cut about twice the length you'd like your finished tutu+add 1 inch to it.
(my net pieces are 28"+1" long so my finished tutu is around 14" long)

STEP-3
.Cut out a piece of cardboard (your child's length)and about 7"wide.(the width doesn't have to be exact, but the length does.)
.Wrap your net around the cardboard evenly.Make sure you're not wrapping too tight.Once you finished wrapping secure both ends with rubber bands.(1st & 2nd)
.Carefully and slowly ,cut the ends of the net using the edge of the cardboard as your guide.Make sure you don't pull up on the net cloth while cutting it or it'll be shorter on one end(3rd )
.Remove any scraggly pieces you might have.
.Pull the net off the cardboard.
.Cut at least 30 sections.

HOW TO CUT NET PIECES EVENLY
STEP-4
.Next ,find something to hold the elastic while you tie on the net.I used a cylinder(but you can use anything such as hanger).(1st)
.Then you will tie a knot around the elastic.(2nd,3rd ,4th,5th,6th&7th)
.I did stop a little bit before the end and take my elastic from the cylinder and move the tutu around..I ended by adding a little bit more.(i wanted to make sure that the knots were spread out equally.)

STEP-5
.If your ends are uneven, you can cut to even them out,or make them shorter.

STEP-6
.You can add lots of embellishments to tutu, here i used ribbon.
.If you want to add flowers or bows ,you can sew it right to the elastic.
.I put ribbon around the elastic.
