MUTTON PERALAN

Mutton Peralan

Ingredients
  • Mutton Pieces -500 gm
For marination

  • Red Chilly Powder -1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder -1/2 Teaspoon
  • Tomato -1/4 Piece
  • Onion(Sliced) - 1
  • Garlic Paste -1 Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala -1/2 Teaspoon
  • Vinegar -1/4 Tsp
  • Salt- As Needed

For Roast
  • Shallots (Sliced) - 5-6 
  • Curry Leaves -2-3 Springs
  • Garlic (Chopped)- 2-3
  • Pepper Powder -1 Teaspoon
  • Crushed Fennel (Dry Roast And Crushed) -1 Teaspoon
  • Thick Coconut Milk -3-4 Tablespoon
  • Coconut Oil-2 Teaspoon


Method

STEP-1
Marinate the mutton pieces with the ingredients under “for marination “and keep aside for 1-2 hours.

STEP-2
Pressure cook them with 1/2 cup water

STEP-3
Heat oil in another pan and saute shallots, chopped garlic and curry leaves.

STEP-4
Add cooked mutton into the pan and dry roast.

STEP-5
When the water gets evaporated, add pepper powder and crushed fennel.

STEP-6
Add some more oil, curry leaves and mix well

STEP-7

Finally add the coconut milk and allow the mutton pieces to cook in it.

STEP-8
When the coconut milk reduces and mix well with the mutton pieces, switch off the flame.
Cover well till serving time.
