COFFEE CAKE

Coffee Cake


Ingredients:
  • All Purpose Flour / Maida -1 cup
  • Sugar- 1/2 cup 
  • Oil- 1/3 cup Eggs - 2
  • Coffee - 1 tablespoon
  • Boiling water-2 tablespoon
  • Baking powder-1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt-a pinch

For Icing:
  • Whipping powder-2 packet
  • Coffee-1 tsp
  • Milk-150 ml
  • Chocolate chips
  • strawberry

Method:
STEP-1
Preheat the oven to 180°C(350°F).
STEP-2
Oil a round tin and sprinkle some flour in it and coat it on all sides.
STEP-3
Mix coffee powder and boiling water and keep aside.
STEP-4
In a mixing bowl beat eggs till fluffy. Add in sugar and beat till fluffy.
STEP-5
Add in oil and beat well. Pour in the coffee mixture and mix well.
STEP-6
Sift in flour,baking powder,baking soda and salt in this.
STEP-7
Fold gently till everything is combined.

STEP-8
Pour this into a well oiled tin and bake it in the oven for 25-35 minutes.
STEP-9
To make the icing combine together all the frosting ingredients except the chocolate chips and strawberry, mix together to combine. Add a dollop of whipped cream and cover the entire cake with whipped cream.

STEP-10
Melt chocolate and drop the sides of the cake and draw lines using tooth pick.
STEP-11
Place strawberries in center.
STEP-12
Slice and enjoy.
