CHIFFON CAKE

Chiffon cake



Ingredients
  • Flour-3/4 Cup
  • Baking Powder-1 Tablespoon
  • Baking Soda-1/2 Tablespoon
  • Salt- A Pinch
  • Egg-3(Separate Egg Whites and Yolks)
  • Sugar-1/3 Cup
  • Oil-1/4 Cup
  • Milk-3 Tablespoon

Method

STEP-1
Preheat oven to 180°C.  Prepare greased cake pan.

STEP-2
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

STEP-3
In a bowl beat egg whites until frothy. . Slowly add half of the sugar, until stiff peaks have formed.

STEP-4
In another bowl slightly beat egg yolk with remaining sugar till pale and creamy.



STEP-5
Add oil and milk, whisk it till well combined.

STEP-6
Add sifted flour and fold it gently.

STEP-7
Gently fold the egg whites in to the batter.

STEP-8
Pour batter in prepared cake pans and bake approximately 25 minutes.
The cake is ready when an inserted wooden skewer or cake tester comes out clean.
Frosting done by whipping cream and butter cream frosting.
