CHICKEN TIKKA

Chicken Tikka

Ingredients
  • Onion (Cubed)-1/2
  • Tomato (Cubed)-1(remove the seeds and pulp)
  • Capsicum (Cubed)-1
  • Skewers-4


For Marinating
  • Boneless Chicken -250 G
  • Ginger Garlic Paste-1 ½ Teaspoon
  • Red Chilly Powder- 1 Teaspoon
  • Lime Juice – 1 Teaspoon
  • Yogurt -2 ½
  • Olive Oil- 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt – As Needed


Method

STEP-1
Wash and cut chicken fillet to equal sized cubes.

STEP-2
Set them aside for a while to take away the dripping water.

STEP-3
Mix all the ingredients under “For Marinating”.
Marinate the chicken for at least an hour /over night in the fridge.

STEP-4
Just before you begin to grill, cube the veggies and marinate in the left over marination.

STEP-5
Soak the skewers for 30 minutes in water to prevent burning.

STEP-6
Put them on to skewers, alternating veggies and chicken.


STEP-7
Preheat the oven to 240 C for at least 15 minutes.
STEP-8
Grill the chicken for 15 Minutes.After 15 minutes geese some oil on chicken and broil it for 15 minute or until Golden color.  
This depends on the size of your chicken pieces and how tender it is.
Keep a watch to ensure it doesn't get burnt.

How to Cook In Tawa


Heat a tawa, spread some oil.
Keep the skewer on tawa, and cook in low flame. 
Just turn to other sides and cook till roast and darken. 

STEP-9
Serve with hummus (recipe link hummus) and kuboos.

Tip
Add oil to the marinade. Oil helps to tenderize the chicken when used along with yogurt or lemon juice.
