PULIYINCHI


Puliyinchi






Ingredients

  • Green chillies (finely chopped) – 1tsp
  • Ginger (finely chopped) - 1tsp
  • Garlic (finely chopped) - 1tsp
  • Mustard seeds- 2 tsp
  • Cooking oil - 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves- 1 sprig
  • Tamarind water-2cup
  • Jaggery-1 piece
  • Fenugreek seeds- 1 tbsp
  • Salt- A pinch

Method

STEP 1
 Heat oil in a pan.

STEP 2
 Splutter mustard seeds.

STEP 3
Add curry leaves.

STEP 4
 Add green chillies garlic and ginger and fry for a while.

STEP 5
 Add tamarind water,jaggery and salt and bring to boil.

STEP 6
Cook on a low flame.

STEP 7
Heat up a pan.

STEP 8
Roast fenugreek seeds, till they turn brown.

STEP 9
Grind it to a fine powder.

STEP 10
Add it to the curry.

STEP 11
Cook on a low flame, till the gravy thickens.

STEP 12
Remove from flame.
