Zebra Cake
- All purpose flour-2 ½ cups (300 g)
- Sugar-2 cups (400 g)
- Vegetable oil-¾ cups (180 ml)
- Vanilla-1 teaspoon (5 ml)
- Baking powder -2 ¼ teaspoons (11 ml)
- Salt -1/2 teaspoon
- Eggs-4
- Milk -1 cup (240 ml)
- Pink and black color
- Whipping cream
Method
STEP-1
STEP-1
Preheat oven to 180oC.
STEP-2
In the bowl of a stand mixer combine flour, sugar,
salt and baking powder.(40 second in low speed)
STEP-3
Then add vegetable oil and vanilla on
low/medium until ingredients are mixed together.
STEP-4
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low in
between additions.
Slowly add the milk while the mixer on and mix
until all ingredients are completely combined.
STEP-6
Divide batter into three different bowls
with one bowl having half of the batter and the other two have a quarter
each.
STEP-7
Large
bowl kept aside and the smaller two with black and pink respectively.
Mix colouring until no light streaks
remain. Spray pan with non-stick spray /butter.
STEP-9
Place four tablespoons of white batter into
the center of each pan. Then, directly into the middle of the white
batter, place two tablespoons of black batter. Directly into the centre of
the black batter, place two tablespoons of pink batter. Repeat
white/black/pink batter additions until all the batter is used up or pan is ⅔
full.
STEP-10
Place pans into oven and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, remove from pan, and cool completely
on a wire rack.
Once cake is cooled, level,

Cut the cake into two portion.then fill on by whipping cream.
STEP-13
Then spread whipping cream over the cake.
STEP-14
Finally on top draw lines with whipping cream.(mix whipping cream and black color)
