CHAPPATHI WRAP/LEFTOVER CHAPPATHI WRAP

Chappathi Wrap/Leftover Chappathi Wrap


Ingredients
  • Chappathi-2
  • Onion-1/4 Portion
  • Capsicum-1/4 Cup
  • Lime Juice-1/4 Teaspoon
  • Lettuce Leaf,separated-As Needed
  • Mayonnaise/Hummus(for hummus recipe click here)-2 Tablespoon
  • Potato Fries/French fries-As Needed


Method

STEP-1
Heat the oil in a wok over a medium-high heat. Add the onion along with capsicum and salt.
Cook for 2-3 minutes.

STEP-2
Add the lime juice. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

STEP-3
Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on chappathi.
Spread capsicum mix along with fried potatoes and lettuce leaf.
Wrap it and serve.

LEFTOVER IDLI FRY/IDLI FINGER FRY

Leftover Idli Fry/Idli Finger Fries

Ingredients
  • Leftover Idlis/Fresh Idlis-6-7
  • Corn Flour-1 Tablespoon (For Dusting)
  • Oil-For Frying
  • Spices-Your Choice
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves- For Garnish



Method

STEP-1
Slice idlis lengthwise just like a french fry but keeping a larger width.

STEP-2
Sprinkle some corn flour over them.


STEP-3
Heat a pan with oil, once heated fry sliced idlis. Don’t cluster with too many at a time. Once they are golden brown from both sides remove with a slotted spoon.

STEP-4
Place them over absorbent napkins. 

STEP-5

Sprinkle spices of your choice and herbs. Serve idli fry with your favorite sauce and dips.

CHAPATHI NOODLES


Chapathi Noodles







Chapati noodles is a simple and quick makeover dish that you can whip up in minutes and serve those hungry tummies. Also this is an easy & tasty way to finish up that one chapati that has not been touched and is waiting to be thrown away or wasted. Sneak in some vegetables or meat and serve it to your kids as breakfast, dinner or pack as lunch.

Ingredients
  • Small Chapati - 2
  • Capsicum (chopped) - 1/2 of a capsicum 
  • Big Onion (chopped) - 1/2 of an onion 
  • Carrot (choped)-1/2 of a carrot
  • Spring onions - 1 tablespoon 
  • Finely chopped garlic-2
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon 
  • Green chilli sauce - 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon 
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon 


Method

STEP-1
Fold chapati into four and using a clean scissor cut chapati into thin strips. And set aside. (leftover chapatis or make fresh chapatis and let them cool down, then use it)

STEP-2
Place a kadai on flame and pour oil into it, add the chopped garlic and saute for a few seconds.

STEP-3
Then add onions and carrots and saute until it seems half cooked. 

STEP-4
Add sliced capsicum and and saute.

STEP-5
Add salt, tomato sauce, soy sauce, green chilli sauce and saute until well mixed.

STEP-6
Now add the chapati strips and toss well for a minute until it gets mixed up well with the masala.

STEP-7
Scatter some chopped spring onions and stir.

STEP-8
Remove from flame and serve hot. 

Tip
You can use any other vegetables, paneer, meat etc rather than this.
