LADIES FINGER FRY/OKRA FRY

Ladies Finger Fry/Okra Fry



Ingredients
  •   Lady's finger - 1/2 kg (500 grams)
  •   Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  •   Chilli Powder - 1 1/2 tsp (up to your spice level)
  •   Salt- as needed
  •   Oil-for frying


Method

STEP-1
Wash ladies finger well, wipe it dry with a clean cloth. Then cut off the head and the tail. Then cut it into small pieces

STEP-2
Add all these pieces into a broad bowl.
Sprinkle chilli powder, turmeric and salt. Gently mix it. No need to add any water.

STEP-3
Heat oil in a tawa. Take out a handful of ladies finger and drop it in the oil loosely.
Gently separate it in the oil.
Cook for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat stirring occasionally so the lady fingers do not get burned. Cook till the lady finger becomes soft or crispy.

STEP-4
Serve with accompaniment of rice.

Tip
It is very important to dry the ladyfinger before chopping it; otherwise your it will come out very sticky.
